One of the core-tenets of human struggle is change, and in a world that is rapidly changing we need some sanity. So many things can be said about humans and systems and design and… well, life. So how can we bring more peace and a little bit of joy?
This has been a core problem most of my life, shifting with the season in how it might be resolved, but one thing always has to happen - getting things done.
And this is where the beautiful world of productivity emerges.
I have gone through many different iterations and implementations, but none ever stick. They are full of friction, or they are over ambitious, or they have too much emotion and character that it distracted me. So I set out on a mission to build something different. Something that incorporates a little of all of these (besides friction) and aims to make work just a little more enjoyable.
Recently, building tools has brought me some joy. In doing so, I have noticed that most productivity tools fail because they optimize for features instead of clarity and empathy.
The best systems are simple, visible, and intentional - and built and designed by humans.
